01
Confirm destination and number format
Read the masked destination if shown. For a Pakistan number, follow the current form: some forms select +92 and expect the number without its leading zero, while others handle the prefix differently.
- Compare visible final digits with your recovery contact.
- Remove spaces or duplicated country-code prefixes.
- Stop if the destination is not yours.
02
Check SIM and message conditions
Confirm that the correct SIM is active, has signal and receives ordinary SMS. On dual-SIM phones, verify which inbox belongs to the registered number, then review spam and blocked-message folders.
- Check both main and filtered message folders.
- Confirm the active SIM identity.
- Restart the phone or refresh network registration.
03
Resend with control
Use the resend control only when it becomes available in the verified screen. Repeated requests can create several codes; enter only the code tied to the current attempt.
- Request one new code at a time.
- Never approve a request you did not initiate.
- Give support the error context, not the code.
